Safe and Sober Parents, a program of Missouri Safe and Sober, provides free information to parents to change the culture of underage drinking and substance abuse. We hope that these personal stories, videos, blog posts, discussion guides, statistics and testimonials will help you as you have important conversations with your teen. This website is designed to help you set limits and expectations for your teens regarding drugs and alcohol.
Missouri Safe and Sober is a nonprofit organization based in Springfield, Missouri. The mission of Missouri Safe and Sober is to prevent underage drinking and drunk driving by delivering high quality educational programs that aim to change the culture of underage drinking.
Safe and Sober follows four guiding principles:
- No one should drink alcohol under the age of 21.
- No one should ever drink and drive.
- No one should ever provide alcohol to someone under the age of 21.
- No one should use illegal drugs or misuse prescription drugs.
Thanks to generous sponsors, the Safe and Sober program is available free to all Missouri middle/junior high and high schools. Students are given the opportunity to sign a pledge card, making a commitment to themselves, their parents and each other to stay safe and sober.
